Soles

Riders know it, there's nothing worst than bad soles: it slows down your board, it's unpleasant on heavy snow, getting momentum is a hassle. We'll save you the trouble.

Many brands use cheap soles to increase their profit margins and honestly, that's a shame. At Easy, we use P-TEX 5000 for our entry level boards: the same soles that you find on our competitors' high end boards! For some of our boards like the Hunter or the Nomad, we even use P-TEX 6000 and P-TEX 7000 on the Hunter or the Nomad ! And on some models like the Nomad Pro or the Killer we use a sole that is normally intended for competition boards.

Why is that?
With more material density, you will get better resistance to impacts. You can feel it when you ride: a good sole has a better wax absorption than an extruded sole for example. Our soles are made of micro-pores that absorb hot wax. These pores open when in contact with the waxing iron and allow the wax to enter the sole better.

On top of that, our soles are covered with a thin Teflon layer. This helps to quickly evacuate the thin water layer created by the friction between your board and the snow. The quicker the water flows, the fast you slide. Teflon's anti-abrasive properties are the keys in this phenomenon.

You can actually add your personal contribution to this chemical reaction :): Give your soles a little brush after waxing and the micro-grooves you create will turn into directional channels. 😉
